Gillian Marcelle, PhD
Chief Executive Officer
Gillian Marcelle, PhD is a senior leader in finance and economic development with a proven track record in attracting investment to emerging markets. She is currently the founder and CEO of Resilience Capital Ventures LLC (RCV) an advisory firm in the blended finance space where she has been successful in capital raising, deal origination and guiding the business activities of commercial start-ups and social ventures.
Bryan Joseph
Lead, Risk, Finance and Capital Management
Bryan Joseph is an actuary and the contingent risk and capital management specialist at Resilience Capital Ventures where he supports the identification, analysis, financing and control of Environmental and Climate risks.
He is a subject matter expert focusing on the blending of risk and capital, and the design and development of financial structures to fund risks. Bryan focuses on the design, build, finance and operational phases of infrastructure projects by engineering solutions to protect investments being made.
Olumide Lala
Lead, Climate Finance
Olumide Lala, provides leadership in the RCV climate finance practice. He is a Director and Co-founder of Climate Transition Limited, a bespoke consultancy that helps clients catalyze large investments in addressing global sustainability challenges and driving low carbon economies whilst aligning strategies and portfolios to the Paris Agreement. Prior to joining Climate Transition Limited, he headed the Africa Markets Development Program at Climate Bonds Initiative, an international, investor-focused not-for-profit organization working solely on mobilizing the $100 trillion bond market for climate change solutions.
Alex Ou Young
Lead, Project Manager and Supply Chain Management
Alex Ou Young, is the Senior Project Management specialist at Resilience Capital Ventures where he provides value as an accomplished certified procurement and project management professional with extensive experience directing projects and programs in challenging environments.
He is a subject area specialist in supply chain logistics, and procurement management having completed projects with Ernst and Young in Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
Cathy-Mae Karelse, PhD
Lead, Systems Change
Cathy-Mae Karelse, PhD is an independent specialist in deep systems change and decolonisation with 20+ years’ expertise in social transformation. In the last decade, she has extended her work to social health policies and systems and is a recognized thought leader in diversity and inclusion.
